Join Special Olympics Hawaii for an epic day of fun and community spirit!  Teams of first responders, local businesses, service clubs, church groups, and more will pull a 40,000 lb. Coca-Cola semi-truck for 30 feet and compete for the fastest times in a thrilling competition to raise funds for Special Olympics Hawaii athletes.  

Special Olympics Hawaii is gearing up for the Inaugural Coca-Cola Bottling of Hawaii Truck Pull & Spring Fest, set to take place on Saturday, April 5, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Ka Makana Ali‘i. This high-energy event challenges teams of eight to go full throttle as they compete to pull a 40,000-pound Coca-Cola truck 30 feet in the fastest time.

But the fun doesn’t stop at the finish line—spectators and participants alike can also take part in the Spring Fest, featuring ono food, first responder vehicle displays, family-friendly activities, live entertainment, and booths showcasing local crafts and products. Plus, don’t miss the Celebrity Exhibition Truck Pull, where local media personalities will take on the challenge and put their strength to the test!

Spring Fest attendees can look forward to an exciting lineup of live entertainment, featuring dynamic performances from Ryugen Taiko, Halau ‘O Nāpuala’ikauika’iu, and the Hoʻokele Dance Team & Musical Theatre Group. The festivities will also showcase talented artists from Maioho Music Studio and the vibrant dancers of Asian Lion Dance Team and Huaka’i Polynesia.

“The Truck Pull & Spring Fest is more than just a competition—it’s a celebration of community, strength, and support,” said Special Olympics Hawaii Director of Development, Tracey Bender. “This event brings people together to ‘pull’ for Special Olympics Hawaii athletes, just as our athletes pull through challenges with determination and heart. Whether you’re joining the competition or cheering from the sidelines, you’re helping to uplift our athletes while also supporting the many local businesses that have come out to be part of this special day.”

Admission to the Spring Fest is free, and all are welcome to cheer on the competitors or simply enjoy the day’s festivities.
