What does Ka Makana Ali'i mean?
The center’s name Ka Makana Ali'i means “The Royal Gift” and pays tribute to Prince Jonah Kūhiō Kalaniana’ole who conceived of the Hawaiian Homes Commission Act allotting hundreds of thousands of acres of government land to Native Hawaiians. This permanent homeland is a perpetual gift and legacy that lives on today.

What does the logo symbolize?
The Ka Makana Ali'i logo features ti leaves, a symbol of good luck in Hawai‘i that signifies prosperity. The encircled ti leaves represent the vision of Ka Makana Ali'i as the “Center for West O‘ahu,” while the subtle use of hands in making the offering reinforces the meaning of the center’s name, “The Royal Gift.”

What are the hours of operation?
Monday through Saturday from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm and Sunday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. 

Do you have gift cards?
Ka Makana Ali'i gift cards can be purchased in the Shopping Center management office Monday through Friday from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm. Credit card purchases only. Learn More.

Where are the restrooms?
Ka Makana Ali'i offers two sets of restrooms, one that is conveniently located off the Food Market and the second which are located across the hall from Valyou Furniture and AT&T.

Where are the drinking fountains?
One set of drinking fountains is located in the hallway near the Food Market and another set of drinking fountains is located in the hallway near Valyou Furniture and AT&T. 

Where do I find restaurants?
Ka Makana Ali'i offers an exciting collection of restaurants, which are conveniently located throughout the center. Each building on property provides at least one – if not two or three – great eateries. The highest concentration of eateries is located in the heart of the shopping center at the Food Market. Please browse through our Restaurant Listings for more information and locations.

Where is parking?
Parking is conveniently around the center.

Do you have electric charging stations?
Ka Makana Ali'i does offer 5 electric charging stations, three of which are located just off the Food Market entrance and the other two which are located fronting Pictures Plus.

Do you have wheelchairs available?
Wheelchairs are complimentary and are located in the security office. The most convenient ADA accessible parking is located near each breezeway entrance to the shopping center and at the entrance to Macy’s. Wheelchairs are available on a first-come, first-serve basis and require an ID.

Where are the ATM machines located?
The center offers one ATM which is located in the restroom corridor off the Food Market.

Where is lost and found?
Please report any lost or found items to our security team. Lost and found items are held in the Security Office. Please contact the Security Office at (808) 628-4810.

Do you have strollers?
At this time Ka Makana Ali'i does not offer strollers.

Are pets allowed at the center?
Pets are not permitted in the center except for registered aid animals.
