The Aloha Festivals Royal Court will make its first appearance in West Oahu on Saturday, September 8 to celebrate local kupuna
KAPOLEI, HI (September 4, 2018) — Honor local kupuna as Ka Makana Ali‘i hosts Celebrations of our Island Kupuna, an Aloha Festivals event, on Saturday, September 8 from 5 to 8 p.m.! It’s the Aloha Festivals Royal Court’s first appearance in West Oahu. Celebrate with activities and entertainment focused on this year’s theme No Ke Kai Kākou Ē – We Are of The Sea.

The Royal Court is set to arrive at 5 p.m., followed by Shad Kane’s presentation of the history of Kapolei. Celebrate with pa‘ia‘i demonstrations presented by Da Cove, ti leaf and yarn lei making, kahili demonstrations, lauhala bracelet making and performances by Halau Hula O Hokulani, Kevin Okimoto and Kailua Moon.
Pick up an Aloha Festivals ribbon at No‘eau Designers and Da Cove to receive discounts at Da Cove, No‘eau Designers, SoHa Living and T&C Surf. Da Cove will also feature a gift with purchase and special menu items during the event.
