Ka Makana Ali‘i Welcomes New Tenants to the Center for West O‘ahu

GEN Korean BBQ, Claire’s and Orangetheory Fitness are now open at
the Center, with Scratch Kitchen, EARL Sandwich & Sbarro coming soon

KAPOLEI, HI (November 20, 2023) — Ka Makana Ali‘i is pleased to welcome Gen Korean BBQ, Orangetheory Fitness and Claire’s to the Center for West O‘ahu. Orangetheory Fitness opened their brand-new studio at the Center on Oct. 4 in the Macy’s wing across from Valyou Furniture. Claire’s opened on Sept. 28 near Center Court between Lids and The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf.

Gen Korean BBQ is an all-you-can-eat Korean barbecue restaurant that opened on Nov. 18. The 5,548-square-foot restaurant is located next to Verizon facing The Grove at Ka Makana Ali‘i. It is home to menu options consisting of freshly prepared meats, seafood, and vegetables, served alongside refreshing & traditional Korean ban-chan (side dishes). Open daily for lunch and dinner, guests can experience a wide array of complex flavors at Gen Korean BBQ. The Ka Makana Ali‘i location is the restaurant’s third location in Hawai‘i.

Orangetheory Fitness opened a brand-new studio in the Macy’s wing last month. Workouts at Orangetheory Fitness are heart rate-based interval training, where certified coaches guide members through five different heart rate zones on state-of-the-art treadmills using base, push and all out paces. The goal is to spend 12 minutes or more in the “orange zone” to boost metabolism, burn fat and maximize calorie burn. Every class at Orangetheory Fitness combines WaterRowers to build strength and power as well as individual weight stations where members use TRX, free weights, BOSU, medicine balls and mini bands to strengthen and tone the body. Science-backed workouts change daily so members are continually challenged for the best results. Sign up for classes online at www.orangetheory.com or follow them on Instagram at @otfkapolei. Claire’s is the headquarters for all things fun and sparkly. Its new store near Center Court is home to ear piercing specialists who are trained to offer several piercing options with an upgraded process for safety and sanitation. Additionally, Claire’s carries a huge range of accessories for little ones aged 3-6, along with a range of toys and collectibles with items from Pusheen, Ty, L.O.L.
