Ka Makana Ali‘i to Offer Second Weekly Farmers Market on Sunday Mornings

The Center for West Oahu now offers weekly farmers markets on Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings

KAPOLEI, HI (May 24, 2018) — Ka Makana Ali‘i is excited to welcome a weekly farmers market on Sunday mornings, in addition to the Wednesday evening event. The newest farmers market kicks off on Sunday, June 3 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with vendors throughout the Center.

The success and growing popularity of the farmers market on Wednesday evenings inspired the expansion to Sundays. Since its launch in October 2016, the weekly farmers market has provided a place for the surrounding community to gather and support local farmers.

“We’re hopeful that this addition will provide a much-needed farmers market on Sundays in West Oahu and give the community a place to shop, dine, play and support local farmers,” said Stephanie England, general manager of Ka Makana Ali‘i.

The farmers market is currently open every Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and features live entertainment by local musicians, fresh fruit, delicious vegetables, prepared foods, locally made treats, tropical plants, unique handcrafted merchandise and more!

The farmers market at Ka Makana Ali‘i is sponsored by Pali Momi Medical Center, a part of Hawai‘i Pacific Health. It features local vendors like Wicked HI Slush, Once Again... succulents, muncheez, Lauhala Creations, Magically Rooted essential oils, Pomai Kulolo, Lavon Taro Farms, Cordillera Greens and more.
