Santa is Coming to Ka Makana Ali‘i to Kick Off the Holidays with a Special Makana Kids Event

Countdown with Santa to light up Ka Makana Ali‘i’s Winter Wonderland
and enjoy entertainment with freekeiki scoops of Magnolia Ice Cream

KAPOLEI, HI (November 13, 2018) — Santa Claus is coming to Ka Makana Ali‘i! He’s making a list and checking it twice, ready to meet all the Makana Kids — naughty or nice — on Friday, Nov. 16 from 6 to 8 p.m. in Center Court and throughout the Macy’s wing. Bring the keiki to the Center for West Oahu’s special “Santa’s Arrival” Makana Kids event for a ho-ho-wHOle lot of fun as the community welcomes back Santa from the North Pole! This event is sponsored by HMSA.

Countdown with Santa as Ka Makana Ali‘i lights up into Winter Wonderland at 6:30 p.m. The snowing tree in the Macy’s wing will kick off its first snowfall at 7 p.m. And from 7:30 until 8 p.m., families can enjoy a performance by Hālau Hula ʻO Nāpunaheleonāpua.

Throughout the event, keiki can check out the new AT&T Mobile Truck where AT&T will be introducing the premiere of “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald” with movie swag and a chance to win two tickets to see the movie. Don’t forget about dessert! Between 6 and 8 p.m., bring the keiki to Magnolia Ice Cream & Treats in the Food Market for a free keiki scoop.

Mark your calendars! The Santa’s Grove holiday photo set opens on Saturday, Nov. 17 at Ka Makana Ali‘i’s Center Court. Santa will be available between Nov. 17 and Dec. 24 for holiday keepsake photos with photo packages starting at $25.
