Ka Makana Ali‘i Celebrates First Anniversary

KAPOLEI, HI (October 12, 2017) – Ka Makana Ali‘i celebrates its first anniversary with fireworks, entertainment, sales, giveaways, and more — all weekend long! The anniversary celebration kicks off on Friday, October 20 and continues through Sunday, October 22. The event is a way for Ka Makana Ali‘i to give back and show its appreciation to the community that has made it the center for West O‘ahu.

Don’t miss the classic Hawaiian sounds of Kapena on Friday night, along with a celebratory lion dance throughout the center and an exhilarating performance by an acrobatic troupe.

Entertainment surrounds the center all day on Saturday with stages in center court, in the Macy’s wing and in the theatre wing of the mall.

  • Bring the keiki as storybook characters come to life for a skit at center court.

  • Stay for the hula halau, hip hop dancers, fire knife dancers and fireworks too!

  • After the sun goes down, singer-songwriter Kimié Miner brings her soulful, acoustic sound to center court.

On Sunday afternoon, Na Leo Pilimehana will share their contemporary Hawaiian sound with shoppers at center court. School groups, hula halaus and musicians will take the stage throughout the weekend. And for all those who love fall fashion, stay for the fashion shows presented by Ka Makana Ali‘i retailers.
