Ka Makana Ali‘i Hosts Frolic Hawai‘i’s 5th Annual Poke Fest Presented by Fresh Island Fish on May 28

The community is invited to shop exclusive sidewalk sales, take photos at
selfie stations, and enjoy a special Memorial Day weekend savings pass

KAPOLEI, HI (May 26, 2022) — Ka Makana Ali‘i is pleased to host Frolic Hawaii’s 5th Annual Poke Fest presented by Fresh Island Fish on Saturday, May 28 from 4 to 8 p.m. For one day only, O‘ahu’s favorite poke shops come together for an open-air, in-person event celebrating Hawai‘i’s iconic seafood dish. Poke fans can experience all-new poke creations from their favorite vendors and help Frolic Hawai‘i crown the King of Poke Fest 2022!

Admission is free with live entertainment all evening and samples of different poke styles for a variety of vendors. This year, there’s no pre-order or contactless drive-by. The first 500 people at the event will receive a free cooler bag courtesy of Foodland Hawai‘i.

Taste poke from the following lineup of poke vendors: Alicia’s Market, Feast by Jon Matsubara, Foodland Hawai‘i, Fort Ruger Market, Hibachi Honolulu Market, Hula Grill, Kalapawai Market, Kapa Hale, K. Bay Bros, Mama Kim’s, Nico’s Pier 38, Paradise Poke, Dining Room at Queen’s Medical Center West O‘ahu, Redfish Poke Bar by Foodland, and more. Additional vendors include Da Lemonade Squad, Snacks Galore and Rice Box Café.

The community is invited to participate in a social media contest for a chance to win $100 in gift cards from Ka Makana Ali‘i stores and restaurants. Post photos taken at the Center during Poke Fest on Instagram, tag @kamakanaalii and use #LOVEKMA. The Center will choose a random winner on Tuesday, June 6.

Celebrate the long weekend as participating retailers at the Center for West O‘ahu pop out for exclusive sidewalk sales from Friday, May 27 through Monday, May 30. This Memorial Day weekend, shop in-store sales and specials throughout the Center.

On Memorial Day, Monday, May 30, Ka Makana Ali‘i will observe special holiday hours from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Some businesses, including the theatres and restaurants, may observe hours that differ from the shopping center hours. Please contact businesses directly for information.

The community is invited to satisfy their poke craving daily at Ka Makana Ali‘i with The Cheesecake Factory’s ahi poke with taro chips or island poke bowl served with kale, Mahi ‘ai Table’s poke potatoes, Foodland Farms’ biggest poke bar on O‘ahu, I Love Korean BBQ’s spicy salmon or wasabi shoyu salmon poke, Moani Island Bistro & Bar’s sesame tako or ginger scallion ahi poke, and Okome Bento & Sushi’s wasabi masago ahi poke.
